BOX OFFICE & TICKETS

The Box Office table is located on the curbside lawn directly off Parking Lot Option 1 (marked on the aerial map below), and opens at 6:30pm on performance days. You will see large Shakespeare in the Woods signage.

All attendees (advance ticket holders included) are required to check in at the Box Office. Management will announce when the performance lawn is open for seating. General admission seating is provided on the lawn.

Tickets are available for purchase online through our Theatre Engine platform, and in person at the Box Office (opens 1hr prior to performances). 2025 Season tickets will go on sale in June.

Ticket Policy: All tickets are final and non-refundable, however exceptions can be made for health or medical emergencies or other extenuating circumstances at the discretion of Management. Please email us at shakespeareinthewoodsvt@gmail.com

Ticket exchanges are possible through online purchase only and may be done via our Theatre Engine platform.

As a “rain or shine” company, SitW performances will continue during inclement (non-extreme) weather, with the potential for short delays (holds) during a performance. Tickets will not be refunded to ticket holders who decide not to attend due to weather when a performance has not been cancelled. We will make every effort to complete a performance, even in rain.

Tent coverage is provided in the event of rain, though we always encourage bringing personal rain gear as well!

PARKING & DIRECTIONS

Please refer to the provided aerial map for parking options.

There is a large parking lot (Option 1) located behind the main hotel building, accessible from the Northeastern entrance at 3567 Main St.

Additional parking (Option 2) is available across the street at The First Congregational Church of Manchester (3624 Main St, Manchester, VT 05254 - entry to parking lot from Union Street Fork).

GETTING HERE: Manchester is a popular tourist destination year round due to its proximity to multiple ski resorts, abundance of fall foliage, and scenic summer hiking trails. In a state known for it's "You can't get there from here" road layout, Manchester is in the convenient Southwestern corner of VT- making it easy to get to from all surrounding states (3.5hrs from NYC, 3hrs from Boston). It's just under an hour & half drive from Albany, NY - which has an Amtrak Rail Station, Greyhound & Megabus stations, and an International Airport. If you're not renting a car in Albany, there is a bus service (via Vermont Translines) to get you the remaining way to Manchester.

The Equinox is a brief 1mi walk directly south from the center of town (accessible sidewalk), and there is also a bike rack on site by the Box Office.

ACCESSIBILITY

Attendees with physical accessibility and mobility disability needs have access to park in the small lot right next to the lawn*. The Box Office can direct you back to this area after you check in. Please note, this lot will be coned off by 7:20p on performance nights, but is accessible at any point before the show.

*The small parking lot is gravel and meets the edge of the performance grassy lawn. There is a slight incline from the parking lot to the General Admission seating.

SERVICE ANIMALS: Guide dogs and other registered service animals are permitted to assist SitW visitors. Please email us at shakespeareinthewoodsvt@gmail.com before your visit to confirm with Management that your service animal will be in attendance.

SEATING: General Admission seating is provided. We are happy to remove any seat to accommodate wheelchairs, motorized chairs, and other mobility seating devices.

Please email us at shakespeareinthewoodsvt@gmail.com ahead of your visit with any accessibility questions or required accommodations so that we can ensure the best assistance from our management team.

ADDITIONAL FAQ

THE GREAT OUTDOORS: There is, of course, an unpredictable (and sometimes uncontrollable) aspect to performing outdoors in the natural world!

We highly recommend using bug spray to stay comfortable during the show, and always have mosquito/bug spray available for guests at the Box Office.

We encourage everyone to check the forecast before attending performances to ensure you're dressed accordingly for the ever-changing Vermont summer nights!

Additionally, we occasionally have furry and winged friends that call the lawn & surrounding woods home visit during performances - typically you can expect to see rabbits, squirrels, and chipmunks darting around in the distance, as well as birds and bats in the evening sky. Though we’ve never had an appearance, it’s important to remember that bears, foxes, skunks, raccoons, etc. do also live in the Manchester area. It is extremely unlikely for any wildlife of any size to get close to the stage/audience area due to the presence of humans, loud sounds, and bright lights.

PETS: Though we love meeting animal companions, non-service animals are not permitted at performances.

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO: We love seeing your photos & videos of your visit before and after performances (be sure to tag us:  @shakespeareinthewoods!). However, in accordance with Actor’s Equity rules, photography and the use of recording devices during the performance is strictly prohibited.
