CORIOLANUS:
A BENEFIT STAGED READING

Directed & Adapted by Elizabeth Dinkova

JULY 2ND, 2024 @ LA MAMA Shares*, NYC

*LA MAMA Shares provides theatre space for non curated productions

Coriolanus was first conceived and produced in Shakespeare in the Woods' 2022 Season. This 2024 one night only Benefit Staged Reading remounted Elizabeth Dinkova's stirring adaptation with the expansive, immersive original soundscape by Anaís Azul. Featuring an all femme and non-binary cast, the story is conceptualized as occurring in our modern moment, as a retelling of the story about the fall of a controversial Roman hero through the eyes of his wife Virgilia in the context of an asylum interview.
